| I like the secular, pluralisic, intelligent side of Israel, and it`s certainly something for Israel to be proud of in the Middle East, that its secular side does not discriminate against women. However, this ad promotes the idea that Israel is run by a new generation of young-ish, intelligent women. That`s simply not true. Israel is suffereing from an almost total lack of intelligent new leadership. It`s stuck with the likes of Peres, Olmert, Netanyahu, Lieberman etc., all male, and who are all well, well, past their sell-by dates, with ideas which went stale years, or perhaps, decades ago. The ad should show a picture of Peres and Olmert looking tired, Netanyahu looking sly and Lieberman looking demented, with the line `Sadly, currently, this is Israel`. OK, it would be a lot less appealing, but at least it would be more truthful. |
