Irrespective of how the High Court rules, the Ministry of Transportation cancelled the Bar Ilan University (BIU) bus stop on ALL Mehadrin bus lines. G-d forbid someone studying at BIU should even think of getting on a Mehadrin bus!
The Mehadrin 319 drops off passenagers ONLY (no one is permitted to board the bus) at the old Reshion LeZion central bus stop. This is the case when there are no other public buses serving this bus stop late at night!
Can the State please explain why they are bending over backwards to facilitate segregation? Also, how is it that those who serve in the IDF are told by the Ministry of Transportation to use a non-Mehadrin bus to get to BIU as Mehadrin buses are for the EXCLUSIVE use of Haredim? |
