I do not think so, I`ve been and still am at such to-be-registered sides but the registering data given may be anything you want to and noone has verified it as of yet or failed to do so and i am still able to use them.

Besides I`m quite sure that Haaretz has the IP adress of every poster who posted something to Haaretz and is storing them, may it be of any use or not as are the cookies and other nice little exposing tools.

Besides such restrictions the forums did not become more civilizised than they are here but i have the suspicion that it isn`t going to go against the talkbackers like the ones here but against those who really advocate real terrorism and recruit their members via the web.

The Jerusalem Post (jpost.com) is quite an example for that still living Wild West.
