| I think the sites offering talkbacks should be the one`s controlling the talkbacks. They should post clear guidlines such as: any posting that clearly encourages violence against a specific individual will not be posted. of course, there is a certain type of discretion required, as any talk of war and police action entails violence, so the websites will have to train their editors. this is similar to newspapers. a newspaper should not be able to say `don`t blame me for the letters to the editor, i just print them` no, the newspapers choice of what to print is accountable to the law. |
