| Ms Magazine would do well to research the role of women is Israeli society compared to that of its Arab neighbors. Women not only participate, but they lead in Israel. Women cannot even drive in Saudi Arabia, nor can they attend a soccer game in Iran. Elsewhere in the Muslim world, they have virtually no place in politics or society. The one woman of any prominence in the Muslim world was just assassinated. This speaks volumes about how women stand in the Muslim/Arab world. |
