I hadn`t heard that. I heard (from Garrison Keillor`s writers` almanac) that Hitler said in his diaries, if that`s the right word, that while it bothered him none to destroy St. Petersburg, he wouldn`t have been able to sleep nights had he had bombed Paris. The reason I remember the sentiment is because all traces of humanity have been removed from Hitler in the American narrative. In fact, the moment I heard this I thought, boy will Garrison be hearing soon from Abe Foxman, something you can be sure happened.
