If the court backs down with these, then what is left to stop any person charged in future from also refusing to accept the authority of the court?
These girls and their parents must submit to the court, or accept the punishment that comes with refusing to do so. Like it or not, they are Israeli, they broke the laws of Israel, and they must now face an Israeli court to answer for that. For the court to back down at this stage would be to accept the girls` argument that Israeli courts have no authority over them, and this cannot be if rule of law is to be maintained. |
