It is a very nicely written, indeed provocative article; but whatever G-d`s judgement relative to Sharon (whether it was his time for that to happen or it was payback-- and both at once is not an impossibility---) don`t confuse events after a cause as being necessarily from that cause!
If Sharon were such a master conspirator as you hint, then Lebanon should have fallen apart as soon as he withdrew from Beirut. Dozens of such examples could be compiled.
