| Sharon, in simultaneously pulling out of Gaza and promoting the separation fence, was merely seeking to protect Israel demographically. He was drawing a deemed border for a state with as many Jews and as few Palestinians as possible. He probably thought that in a few years or in a few generations, whatever the case may be, peace would be made along the lines of the borders he was drawing. He thought no more and no less. |
