"The first seven years of Bush`s presidency were wiped out as far as we`re concerned ... he changed"
No, it was Abbas who changed his behavior.
President Bush insisted he`d ignore the Palestinians until first Arafat, later, Abbas, combat Palestinian terrorist groups.
Abbas promised President Bush, during their very first meeting, right after Arafat’s death, that he’d reject Palestinian terrorism.
Instead Abbas traveled around from Palestinian town to Palestinian town embracing his brothers, these terrorist degenerates who send out little Palestinian kids to fight on the front lines in their war against Israel.
His choice to hold rallies with thousands of degenerates who shout – death to Israel, and who strap bombs on their Grandmas and retarded children. However, now that a few years have passed, Abbas finally got a clue, realized President Bush’s advice wasn’t the light-hearted joke he mistook it for, he ensured that Hamas was internationally isolated, and that the PA and Fayyad begin such positive changes as arresting inciteful preachers who preached murder of Israeli civilians, and so the Palestinians received the attention of the United States.
If the Palestinians ruthlessly reject and fight terrorism, the US will give them more financial aid and support then they could ever dream of. Economic success and prosperity await the moment the peace treaty is negotiated, the Palestinians accept the presence of the Jewish state, relinquish the mythical right of return, and most pertinent, especially capture, imprison, and kill the terrorists instead of sanctioning them. |
