As a secular Jew, I highly admire Chabad for the work they have been doing in giving Jews a minimum of access to their traditions in places where they are on the brink of assimilation. How many rabbis would be prepared to fly to Verkhoyansk, Siberia if there were a couple of Jews there who just wanted to celebrate Passover? Chabad are outstanding among the Haredim, in that they have excellent relations both with secular Jews and gentiles. And so what if they opposed ceding the Land of Israel and Jerusalem to the Arabs? Good for them.
