So many Israelis speak as if the war of 1948 was some sort of proof of Jewish superiority - when in reality it was just a military victory over a civilian 3rd world people. I believe the Brits also left or gave guns and other things to the Haganah also. And Jewish fighters from Poland and elsewhere were experienced in explosives and terrorism.
The truth of the matter is that a great violent injustice was done to the Palestinian people. Modern Israelis should try to make it right, rather than continually and arrogantly making it worse. |
