| It`s funny that the environmental agency is up in arms about this. You would think that the site of Appolonia is on a veldt of pristine land. In fact, it is next to a decaying military plant that has itself spewed enough detritus to fill several landfills. Also, the area is covered with the litter of the general public (both Jews and non-Jews)in the for of plastic and a great deal of material that has been dumped by unethical builders who truly control what does or does not go up along our beaches. The only section of the beach that is actually well-maintained is the park! I`d say, go ahead and protect this piece of land and maintain it keeping the riff-raff away. However, I would not be surprised if the Environmental Agency is being paid off by the builders as they are one of the most ineffective agencies in this country. Lots of people who enjoy their titles but don`t have what it takes to effect change. Good coffee over their though from what I hear. |
