Seems clear that ethics, values and goals can`t be addressed by science. Thus anyone who says they can probably knows he`s pushing a falsehood; he`s a con artist. Because of this basic problem, psychiatry in recent decades has been part of the pomo attack on truth. The idea is that truth itself doesn`t exist, certainly not scientific truth. If there`s no truth, then psychiatry is not more false than any other, they`d say. Heidegger is a pillar of modern psychiatry.
Of course, most actual science (what TAU calls "exact" science) is based on the premise that truth exists. And Judaism represents this quest also. And Israel is Judaism made 3D.
Psychiatrists are well-known for being anti-religious generally. But an antipathy for Judaism in particular, and the Judaic state, must be particularly keen.
Since for many of these every convention of morality is a taboo from which to be "freed," not a surprise he would upend honor, trust, loyalty as a goal in itself. |
