| Yes men use to think, girls have not enough brain for the job. Today, I had paid a visit to my doctor. I was helped by a very young woman; the new stagier who attends the last year of medicine school. I asked her: how come that there are so many female doctor trainees here? She gave me a peculiar answer: 70% of the students at the faculty of medicine (all universities in the Netherlands) are girls!. They graduate high school and College with higher notes than boys. This is why they get easier a place in the faculty. They get the place because they are GOOD and not a part of positive discrimination. It is not special for the Netherlands alone. The same is going on in Belgium, Germany and the Scandinavian countries. A woman who can learn to be a doctor, can be everything; even the president of the USA. It’s girls power time. Men got to get used to it. |
