| Just when we progressive Haaretz readers are perplexed by political developments, we can trust Haaretz to show us the light: recently by giving a literary prize to an IDF sodier who refuses service, by imploring the American secretary of state to "rape Israel" (words of our spiritual leader, Haaretz publisher Amos Schocken) by giving the stage for a political science prof from TAU arguing for a one-state solution in Palestine, and giving for a hundredth time the stage to Yossi Beilin, the visionary politician who has contributed so much to the peace and well-being of the Middle East, and has retired from a brilliant career in politics to devote all his energies to enlighten us with his articles. His writings shall continue to alternate with those of Yossi Sarid, who expressed his hope for a new spirit of American policy led by a black muslim leader, and of course the patriotic Haaretz columnists.
