The problem is not only in Egypt, but in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and all points between.
Under Bush and Donald Rumsfeld, the US wasn`t treating countries in the area with respect and cooperation, but was issuing commands and cracking the whip. People who are whipped into working don`t work very well: their heart isn`t in it, and they choose every opportunity to make the task fail.
The US isn`t out front leading (who would follow anyway?), but is in back pushing and cracking the whip, and it is getting a typical response to whip-cracking. |
