Title:A question, perhaps someone can explain to me
Name:Maria
City: State:
First of all my condolences to the bereaved family and collegues and friends of this rabbi.

What I always wonder is this: why do religious orthodox Jewish people live in a city such as modern NY? they have sort of stopped in time and look more fitting in a scenery such as Jerusalem old city. I never understood why the orthodox Jews remained in NY, Antwerp, Amsterdam. It is not for the climate, not for the progressive life city people live. Then why? can anyone explain please? thank you. (please do not start about muslims now, they also don`t fit in modern 21st century in Europe, I know that)
