You are confused. Finkelstein was invited by the Oxford Union (not the university) not to represent Israel but to speak for a two-state solution. Dershowitz was also invited to speak on the same side but refused and then attacked the Union for inviting Finkelstein. The Union gave into pressure and cancelled the debate.
