| Shira rightly points out that I wrote an article in Haaretz a few weeks ago on this subject. The gist of the article was that the American Government sought to investigate the Katerina catastrophe, using a Columbia University team 2 years after the disaster(Scientific American 9/07). There is no parallel Israeli research endeavor, therefore the result is sporadic reports of the effects of this forced evacuation. It is important for the government to investigate the effects of its actions 28 months ago, so as to know the truth about the short and long term effects of forced evacuation.The matter can still be taken in hand. |
