| We recently attended a Bar Mitzvah in our Temple in New Jersey where the Rabbi wore a Chuckee Cheeze costume and the female cantor wore a Jose Cheese costume throughout the Moosaf and speech (they changed into these silly costumes after the reading of the Torah). The Temple was quickly inundated by rich kids who wanted the Rabbi to dress like Billie Ray Cyrus, and the Cantor to dress like Hannah Montana (one child even did a High School Musical Theme where prayers like Adone Alam and Ein Kelohaynu were done to the music of the Disney Show). Some of this was quite entertaining but not very Kosher! |
