| Chowers fails to recognise that the nation-state is still the main political unit in the world today. If anything failed it was the so called country of Lebanon where the Christians were disenfranchised by the growing Muslim majority. If the same formula was followed in relation to Israel/Palestine the result would be the same. As the UN said 60 years ago, there must be a two state solution. The Jewish state must not be drowned in the surrounding Muslim sea. It has every right to live. |
