| first of all, the palestinians in bethlehem are NOT allowed beyond the wall that surrounds their town...nor are any palestinians allowed across the wall without authorization; which comes very rarely. secondly, if a palestinian was seen even approaching the wall with a weapon; he`d be shot dead on the spot by the idf...no questions asked. hell...they`ve even done it to unarmed children! and finally there`s this thought; IF the palestinian authority police in either of these instances had reacted like the idf... what do you think the headlines would have read? let`s see now...one week ago it would have been: "israeli tourists murdered by p.a. police while visiting the church of the nativity". and this one?: "idf soldier and son shot dead by p.a. police while visiting friends in bethlehem!"... there usually are no headlines when innocent palestinians are killed; it only makes the news when it actually DOES turn out that they were a threat...then you get a headline about how the great idf thwarted another palestinian attempt. but hey...if you kill `em all, you`re bound to get a bad guy occasionally. |
