Exactly, David #6 This is uninteresting, uninformative, and uninformed writing. This whole "good for Israel" approach is terrible, because there is no definition of what good for Israel means. He better get someone working with him who actually has some insight into U.S. politics.
Commentary, now edited by John Podhoeretz, who Rosner might have identified as Norman`s son, who also edited Commentary. This writer appears to equate McCain`s and Guiliani`s "personal courage." This statement goes unremarked by our intrepid correspondent.
Is there room for both. Of course, because of the character/religious/social policy factors. GUiliani appeals more to non Republicans, McCain more to Republicans. Guiliani is the stronger candidate in the general election, it can be argued. And GOP voters, the ones not blinded by ignorance, political ideology, and religious ideology, will be thinking that, too. |
