| The NY Gangster, or the Bush Sucking Warmonger? I don`t think either Rudy or John has a chance. The best bet the republicans have is the guy from Arkansas, but he is too "populist", spell that for the little guy and thus against the ultra-rich to be allowed the nomination. The republican party has made some serious mistakes recently. One is unwise to attack a growing group of voters, such as hispanics. Nor is it wise to alienate young voters. Last of all, It is unwise to become a party which only represents religious fanatics and the ultra-rich. I became a republican watching the 1956 republican convention. I remained one until the Supreme Court engaged in the most outrageous example of "Judicial Activism" ever and appointed George Bush President. The final break came with the conquest of Iraq. The lure of left-wing fanaticism caused the democrats to lose power 40 years ago, and the seduction of right-wing lunacy has defeated the republicans. Israel will not lose as a result. |
