| to justice for war crimes and genocide.A Petition has already been sent to the UN to set up an International Criminal Tribunal for israel(ICTI)just like the ICT for former Yugoslavia.Here`s the process: 1.General Assembly member states vote for ICTI by a simple majority. 2.The GA can do this because of its powers to establish "subsidiary organs" under UN Charter,Art.22.(Remember that the International Law Commission established in 1947 was set up the GA.It is a subsidiary organ of the GA). 3.The GA instructs the Secretary General to draft the Statute for the ICTI along the lines of the ICTY. 4.The Statute is approved by the UNGA.Will be similar to ICTY Statute. 5.The UNGA appoints the Judges& the Prosecutor. 6.The UNGA apppoints the Judges and the Prosecutors. The international community has to move resolutely on this one.I am sure there is a similar Petition circulating in your own communities.Waiting for israeli supporters is a mug`s game.They are support their leaders` crimes! |
