| This is all about a gradual turnover of control and confidence building. The Abbas people can never get the political confidence of the "street" if it seems to acquiesce in Israeli raids, but the Palestinian security service lacks the resources to itself curtail Hamas in the West Bank at this point. The hope is that some day Abbas` people can exercise real control. So in the meantime expect them to cry crocodile tears for their Palestinian "brethren" who are arrested by Israel. |
