Haaretz`s editorial has joined our politicians in spreading the nonsensical notion that the IDF did not plan for a war with the Hizbollah. This piece of misinformation is bandied about by some of the media and most of our rotten politicians as "proof" of the IDF`s ineptitude.
Nothing is further from the truth.
An extensive plan was in place for such a war, before it began. It evolved over time and took on several names with each eition- perhaps the best known was "magen haaretz".
Indeed, us reservists trained according to his plan for at least 18 months prior to the war.
It was our corrupt political leadership that in its incompetency, did not allow this plan to be implemented, with a little help from Dan Halutz, who thought he could finish the job with the air force alone. |
