Regarding the 01/01/08 article - "Jewish Agency, interfaith group deal angers U.S. Jewish leaders: Anshel Pfeffer makes this claim without identifying the source of this anger. His statements would be more credible if he had identified which Jewish leaders.
As a member of several American Jewish organizations, I am unaware of any opposition from any Jewish leader to this agreement. To the contrary, I am aware of the gratification felt by many in the Jewish community for the tremendous effort by the IFCJ to bring Iranian Jews into Israel and to help them get started in a new life. |
