"Im not a fan of Isreal because I dont view Jews as a race, and I think it is dangerous to create nations based on religious ideales" So if Jews were "a race" you would be a fan of Israel? So for you creating nations based on "race" would be acceptable, but not based on religious ideals? I recommend some serious reading: Jews are a people with common history, tradition and culture and - as any nation founded 3500 years ago - nation building came with a religion back then (e.g. Greeks and Hellenism, which, as some theologists believe is quite similar to Christianity - see Dionysos cult and trinity). But for the Greeks it`s ok to have a state, although they are 100% Greek orthodox, and it is ok that the Church of England is the State Church in England, and that virtually all Irish are Catholics? A nation is buildt on common history, not on race. The last one who wanted to build a nation on "race" was Hitler.Guess we"ll have to live with the fact that you are not a great fan of Israel. |
