| This glaring injustice must be addressed forcefully by the Israeli government. While one might think that it is an issue of funding, as some readers suggested, this is disproved by the fact that Quatar and Quwait, with very generous funding of education, lag bahind the legitimate (i.e. Palestinian) population in Israeli schools. Moreover, it is known that Quwait has a high rate of illiteracy. Any progressive person dedicated to social justice must realize that the injustice must be addressed on a global scale, i.e., eliminating the difference in levels of achievement between the pupils of zionist origin in Israeli schools and the levels of Arab pupils in the whole of the Arab world. A dialectic analysis shows that this can be achieved only by drastically pushing down the levels of the zionst students. This would have countless positive ramifications in the future. Thus, we must push for creative ways to achieve this. |
