We pay for the education of our children and others children who attend our locally funded school. Our school for reasons of politics and demography does not qualify for full funding from the Ministry of Education. There, we the residents decided that it was important for our children not to travel to the next town of Maalot for many reasons and so we built our own school and fund it too. We pay over 1000 shekels per month in local taxes per household. The large Arab town of Deir el Assad near us pays 300 shekels per year per household and many there do not even pay that much as they have relations working for the local council.
So go figure why our educational system is better. You do not have to be a genius.
