NBN has succeeded in convincing hundreds of well-paid, asset-rich, professional families to uproot themselves from comfortable communities in North America and build new lives in Israel.
Aside from grants from NBN that just barely cover shipping and transition costs, these hundreds of families bring significant assets: Real-Estate in the US is exchanged for new homes here, there is virutally no unemployment among this group, and many of them even continue to derive income from US-based professions.
The simple fact is that the household incomes of thousands of North American families are now being spent in Israel rather than in the US, and taxes are being paid to Israel rather than to the US Treasury.
