If that scares you, you need to ask yourself why." , When you say it is the choice of Reform Movement not to follow halacha , then it may be seen by you as a choice but such choice certainly open room for transgression for it takes down layers that prevent transgression , Hence Reform Movement convert and transforms the duty and service to G`D all the way up to the highest order (Cohen , Levy), individually and nationally . In essence Reform Movement looses the Jewish identity , It takes away the Jewish Identity from the individual and project it as a feel of belonging to the Jewish people hence Reform Movement identity as pro Israel While in fact leading away its followers from Jewish ways as improved and enriched by our sages and as ordered by G`D to Moses , to Joshua , to the elders ect....to the Sovereign Israel Religious Authority . Many non Jewish movements for many reasons are pro-Israel , political , economic , religious , theological , psychological , you name the reason . Many non Jewish movements for example accept and endorse a Rashi commentary to better appreciate and comprehend scriptures , they hence directly or indirectly support Judaism in order to better their moral and spiritual life , their religious beliefs , It does not mean they have become jews , they know that suffice is to follow and improve the basics and guidelines of the 7 Noahides Laws to deserve the choicest spot in paradise , 7 Noahides Laws per wich USA Education Day was approved and established , You wanna play it by choice !, by individualism !,You wanna play smart and negotiate G`D Laws , fine , go ahead suit yourself ,exploit your best interpretations , skulldugerry skills , manipulations , pressures , fix up conferences , lobby ect... There is no bypass The Sovereign Israel Religious Authority Order , you`ll still have to accept , endorse and abide by The Sovereign Israel Religious Authority Order ,that is if you want to be integrated and accepted as a jew into Israel sovereign , independent society , Why ? for it is the same for any individual to accept and endorse in its entirety the constitution of the US in order to be naturalised .
