| Your message, Mr. President, is beautiful. Your hopes are noble. Unfortunately your ideas and the ideas of the founders of the state are not shared by a large segment of the population. They call themselves "realists" and you "naive" and even a "traitor" because you aspire for peace and they see only a military solution to the coflict (assuming they win). This segment of your population is sick with paranoia and racism. You may want to launch an educational program for Israeli youth, replanting in them the desire for peace. I am afraid that your military establishment (Zahal) is also infected by this virus, possibly for self preservation. May God help you to change this way of thinking. |
