Yes, there are, the same order established by Mother Theresa is still working in India and elsewhere, in Latin America the vast majority of indigenous and other poverty striken people have no one to help them but the missionaries and priests that venture out to the slums and mountains of the South American countinent, providing health care, food, education, etc. This is also true in parts of Africa, the Phillipines and elsewhere in asia.
What does it have to do with this article? Well it shows that those who actually practice their faith instead of just talk about it, or spend time fighting over land and property lose sight of what god really wants us to do, namely, help each other.
We need more Jewish organizations doing this good work. |
