| There is some truth to the Introduction of this article, but it overlooks one important historical fact which is still valid until today. The Partition plan of 1947 was mainly based on demographic, and the early Zionists didn`t make any significant population weight of the WB(Judah and Samria). The early Zionists mainly inhabitted the sea coast North of Jaffa and up to Haifa + Sfad and Tiberias (Eastern Galillee); hence, the refugees problem was excagerated because most of the refugees come from areas outside the partition lines, and most the Arab Israelis come from areas outside the partition lines. The best way to sort out this Arab Israeli Problem is by abiding by all UN resolutions which eventually will preserve an absolute Jewish Majority no matter what in the above mentioned areas, and will sort once and for all the Paletinian refugees problem. But a discussion with a skewed point of view like that of Ron Breiman I guess would be a waste of time. |
