some parts of this commentary almost make it seem like that`s what he`s saying... a differentiating between "palestinians" and "arabs"... hmmmmm? i do believe that some zionist fore-fathers envisioned something to that effect... although they were naive in thinking that any people would welcome a takeover of land they had lived on for 2000 years. but realistically the most viable solution to longterm peace IS a single state. it`s too bad that neither side will admit to their common ancestry...and work together as a single "people" and NOT distinguish themselves religiously. from all the studies i`ve read on the subject, excluding jewish ones that refute it, the jews and the palestinians are almost indistinguishable genetically, and completely separate from the arabs. lol...i know all the shit i`m gonna get for that one, and from whom... but bottom line is that a secular state that incorporates ALL whose origins lie in the region as equals, would not only strengthen israel as a state and unify all of what once was under its umbrella, it would also bring a cohesiveness to the whole region by removing the barriers that now exist between israel and its neighbors, and the rhetoric coming from iranian zealots would be deflated.
yeah i`m a dreamer; but someone has to do it! it`s just too bad that those who CAN make the difference; aren`t... |
