There is no person on this planet who has the "right" to have a child. However all children adopted or not adopted do have the right to have be raised within a loving supportive family, a family where the child is given unlimited love and affection, all the physical needs met, food, shelter, medical treatment and education. Society has the right to expect that these children will be educated to become full members of a responsible society.
This has nothing to do with the gay or straight, religious or secular, black or white, it should all be about the right of the child.
People worry a lot about adopted children, but don`t seem to get so worked up about the rights of children who are born into a family. Many people think that the physical ability to have a child gives you the right to have as many as you want, regardless of whether you can provide a proper upbringing.
If a gay, mixed, secular or religious family can provide the for the child. The child has the right to be adopted. |
