I don`t believe this desire to deny Palestinians their own national identity with their own brand of self-governance falls under the label of Zionism, but nice try.
With that out of the way, I can`t be bothered to support some kind of rewinding of history just so BS spewed in this article will make bigots in Israel happy or or one-state supporters of Arab supremacy happy. Neither are really progressive movements, and strike me as being just band-aids that will eventually end up in more civil strife sooner rather than later.
Yes, Israel needs security. Absorbing the West Bank might provide it, I will admit. But I`m not convinced not giving it to the Palestinians to fulfill their own national desires won`t be just as good. |
