| The way to prevent the Quartet from condemning Israel is to demonstrate that such condemnations will not have the slightest effect on Israeli policy, and may even intensify the behavior being condemned. Therefore, the Quartet will have no desire to appear impotent by uttering empty threats. Unfortunately, such a stand would require courage and confidence in the rightness of Israel`s position, and therefore it`s safe to assume that Israel`s leaders, who utterly lack such courage and confidence, will take such a stand. |
