| Since a secular education in terms of history,literature science, social studies, etc is not a priority in religious schools, most parents who send their children to these schools are from the poorer to poorest sectors of society. Also these schools receive subsidies and private donaations from religious funds. Most of these religious parents sending their children to Shas sponsored shools are not interested in their children being exposed to western culture but religious culture and or a trade for the males and early marriage for the females. Same as in Pakistan. |
