| Earlier today, there was an article on the rising levels of raccism in Israeli society against its Arab citizens. Hardly the first suchh report. The same conclusions have been drawn for decades from earlier studies. But here with the Ethiopians we have government ministers declaring their comittment not to let this raacism against the Ethiopians continue. If only such fervour could be extended toward solving ant-Arab racism so rooted in Israel. As for this religious school, these Ethiopian sutdents were segregated because the school judges them to be non-Jews, not yet converted, therefore, they cannot mix with Jews. They are indeed racists. |
