| Being a democracy does not mean you have to recognise same sex marriage or same sex adoption -- or underage sex. A Jewish democracy recognises equality before the law within the context of Jewish values and traditions. Judaism does not recognise same sex marriage and therefore Israel may have to consider a civil partnership similar to that in Britain, where Christianity also doesn`t accept same sex marriage. |
