| Non Jews are discriminated at BG airport BIG TIME. As a former olah (married to an Israeli Jew) I speak Hebrew fluently, but I never became an Israeli citizen. Last summer my kids and myself nearly missed the flight back home due to harassment of airport security staff. My husband did not travel with us at the time. Language was not the problem, Hebrew, English, French, I speak all three fluently. They searched every tiny item in our luggage, kept us waiting for so long. Why? My guess is jealousy, because my family prefers to live outside Israel whereas they are stuck in a war zone and perhaps in a terrible position financially. I cannot think of any other reason. |
