| Kol Hakovod to Zevulun Orlev....We were one of the very first to buy a Prius in Israel in July 2005. Then it cost about 185000 shekels. Since then, taxes have dropped. While I do think that Israelis are becoming a tiny bit more environmentally aware, I think that the exponential rise in purchases of the hybrids are due to two things - assurance that someone could fix the cars if they broke down, and the sharp drop in price. I hope this trend will continue. Besides much better fuel efficiency, it is also a great runny car and much more roomy that looks from outside. |
