How else to explain such a discombobulated piece of journalism sewing together cigars, Breitling, American inteligence and `peace agenda`. The first two have nothing to do with anything. Politicians are arrogant but smoking expensive cigars and wearing an expensive watches are a matter of taste and affordability. Nothing more. As far as the American inteligence agencies- Israel better keep its mouth shut- just remeber the Yom Kippur war for starters. It was inevitable that all the hawks, the defense establishment and its mouthpieces in the media will take the NIE to task. They, like the sleuths have an agenda and a bias. No one has an excusivity over these. Finally- `leave his mark with a peace agenda`? Are you for real Mr. Marcus? There have been peace agendas floating around for decades only that no one is interested in them, least of all Israel which has a different agenda- denying the Palestinian a state. |
