"Olmert didn`t start off well. But aside from the fiasco of the Second Lebanon War and a series of criminal probes from his past dangling over him, he has not made any major blunder." - Yoel Marcus
Understand that I am not making a `moral` judgement or comparison. It is a simple observation about Mr. Marcus`s arguement.
By the same logic, Hitler was a great success. He only lost the unnecessary war he started and committed a few crimes along the war.
"But he is striving to leave his mark as a prime minister with a peace agenda. And for that, he deserves some support and credit." - Yoel Marcus
Agenda? I guess he has a `peace agenda." Actually, if you listen carefully Olmert has an agenda to talk about talking about talking about the possibility of talking about peace.
If your objective is to see no peace, then Olmert`s agenda deserves support. |
