That is the problem, how do you teach the MTV generation who are simply not interested in anything let alone something as challenging as the Holocaust.
Therefore it is easier to remove challenging parts of the curriculum and teach the kids to a standard where they pass GCSE`s and the teacher gets the bonus. If you have a student who will do well you give them the information. However as a teacher the pressure is on you to get the borderline kids to a standard where they will pass.
It is not about political correctness it is about affording a new car and that holiday in Barbados.
