If you live in Israel alongside people with numbers on their arms - yes, some are still here on planet earth - it`s hard to see how even you, a second generation Israeli, can forget about it. This article is not about forgetting about it, it`s about keeping a sense of perspective with regard to distorted stories. And, living in Israel as you do, you will also be aware of our tendency to inflate the merest rumor of antisemitism, a trait we have in common with diaspora Jewry.
If you are concerned about Rwanda, Cambodia, Darfur - and who isn`t? - you will also be concerned about affairs closer to home and possibly active in efforts to make peace with the Palestinians. Is that correct? |
